QUESTION:  How many hunters are allowed on a piece of land?

ANSWER:  One hunter per parcel for big game, regardless of parcel size.

QUESTION:  Do I need extra insurance for this?

ANSWER: IronAim believes it is in your best interest to check with agent about coverage and recommend you do so, but it is not a required condition of use.

QUESTION:  How do I get through gates on a property or know if ATVs or other equipment is allowed on a property?

ANSWER: Directions on property use, gate access, and other information is listed with the land information.  In addition, after purchase, information will be sent via email to the hunter reiterating the types of use, gate access, or other concerns with regard to property use.

QUESTION:  As a land owner what are my tax liabilities?

ANSWER:   We recommend that you consult a tax professional.  Enrollment does not make you an agent, contractor, or employee of IronAim.  IronAim does issue 1099 Misc statements to all land owners or entities who use IronAim successfully.

QUESTION:  As a land owner how am I paid?

ANSWER:  IronAim uses its unique forum to bring together hunters and land owners.  IronAim collects the fee associated with the land use and retains it not more than 30 days after the land use.  A check is then sent to the landowner.  Please see terms and conditions for information regarding this topic.

QUESTION:  Is my IronAim purchase transferable or refundable?

ANSWER:  IronAim purchases are not transferable once purchased.  After 72 hours, a limited refund may be available but is not guaranteed.

QUESTION:   I have a lot of land, can I “subdivide” my land in IronAim?

ANSWER:   Yes, large tracts of land can be submitted by land owners as a whole piece or on a piece by piece basis divided by the land owner.  Our pricing matrix makes it easy to price a larger tract of land as you feel appropriate, or use our pricing  schedule.  One consideration to make when pricing property, there is an upper limit to the value of hunting specific types of animals (a bull elk will warrant higher prices than a cow elk).  Don’t overvalue the property to the extent that it is not a value to the hunter.

QUESTION:  Does IronAim offer any guarantees for success?

ANSWER:   No.  IronAim cannot guarantee that any hunter will be successful, or even see wildlife for that matter.  What we endeavor to do is provide hunters with an area where they can hunt, without other hunters present.   The nature of hunting, hunter experience, and numerous other factors play roles in hunting success, not any guarantee or warranty to that effect by IronAim.

QUESTION:  Does anyone check on the land owner’s property submission to make certain the submission is accurate?

ANSWER:   No, as a practical matter such would be impossible.  We encourage users to familiarize themselves with parcels purchased in advance and report any discrepancies to IronAim.

QUESTION:  Does IronAim keep my information private?

ANSWER:   We do not sell information to anyone!  We cooperate fully with requests from local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities if information is officially requested.  See our privacy policy for full details on the limited times we may release information.

QUESTION:  If there is only one hunter on each parcel of land, how does it work if I make my land available to hunt all species?

ANSWER:   First come, first served.  While certain species are valued over others, parcels are offered on a first come basis.  If your property allows hunters to hunt any species, it will show up in an inventory multiple times, for example under bull elk, cow elk, bear, etc.  Once any of those are purchased, all other inventory items for that week are automatically removed from the inventory.  Hence, it is not possible to have one bear hunter and one elk hunter on the same 200 acres at the same time.

QUESTION:  What would prevent someone from buying my land for a cow elk, then actually hunting for a bull?

ANSWER:   After purchase, the hunter and landowner are emailed distinct and unique certificates encoded with various types of information.  The certificate contains not only the hunters name, but the species to be hunted.  By the terms of the agreement, the certificate must be carried with the hunter along with the hunting license while on the property.  Failure to provide both to the land owner upon request is a breech of IronAim terms and conditions.  In addition, since the landowner has one copy of the certificate, it is impossible to make a forgery!

QUESTION:  Can I make a purchase over the phone in the middle of a week?

ANSWER:   Yes, in the event that this happens the same process will be followed as previously outlined.  In addition to an email, the hunter will be given a unique code over the telephone and be required to give the code to the landowner upon request along with the hunting license.  The landowner will still be provided with hunter information including name, species to be hunted, and dates purchased.
